Our fundamental values are in crisis, and we find ourselves at the crossroads burdened with a decision to make. What kind of moral universe do we want to inhabit? We have two simple choices; Do we care for and respect one another wanting to make the world a better place, or do we exploit the world and the people in it to have power and win at any cost?
The last four years have summoned our nation's worst attributes, our demons, but not without a valuable lesson. We are not victims; we are not powerless. We have the power to choose right from wrong; right now, through action, we can stand up for and implement our true moral values and reject the ideology of hatred and power we've fallen spell too.
Donald Trump has played a shell game, denying responsibility for the present, conjuring up darkness and lies about the past, and making empty promises of future prosperity. All of these tricks have created an atmosphere of panic and confusion in the American people. Can we cut through the chaos with a straightforward question? Are our lives better today than they were four years ago?
