Luke Chueh

Los Angeles-based artist behind some of today’s more recognizable pop-surrealist paintings. Employing minimal color schemes, simple animal characters, and a seemingly endless list of ill-fated situations, Chueh stylistically balances cute with brute, walking the fine line between comedy and tragedy. The themes vary from love, pain, lots of blood, and irony wrapped up in a mystery inside an enigma, with depth and intensity to pull you in.

Chueh's work has been featured in galleries around the world, and some of his paintings have also been reinterpreted into vinyl toys.
