"Lifeguard Not on Duty" pairs a wry, cautionary title with Fairey's polished illustrative style, using the lifeguard motif as a stand-in for absent authority or safety. It's a lighter, more playful entry in his catalog compared to his overtly political work, appealing to collectors drawn to his craftsmanship as much as his messaging.
